Data Analysis
You can carry out a data analysis with Score™ 4.0 on a
single user workstation or distribute it on a network of computers. As in all complex
optimising problems the quality of the results improves asymptotically with time. This means
that with but little effort (a single computer, 1 hour of analysing) you can achieve good
results, with much effort (10 computers, 24 hours of analysing) you achieve a considerably
better result, but with even greater effort will hardly be rewarded with much improvement
because of the asymptotic conduct of the algorithms.
An analysis of customer data will as a rule be carried out on the basis of a
representative choice of data, i.e. usually on the basis of about 5,000 to 50,000 data
records. This means that you can separate the analysis of customer data even spatially from
the total evaluation of all data records, if you wish to. And if you wish to, you can also
make your sample data completely anonymous. Personal data such as customer codes, names or
addresses are usually quite irrelevant in an analysis.
Our Analysing Tool Score™ 4.0 facilitates very quick analyses while offering very high
analysing security: its high transparency of data representation and control of results allows
the discovery of analysing faults and their prompt correction. With this tool you can process
even large numbers of data records within only a few hours. In Score™ 4.0 all of the tools
necessary for analysing are already integrated - from statistical controlling and sampling of
data to the definite scoring, which will be described in the next section.
